Hello Just wanted to ask about bank accounts please? I have to migrate from ESA & HB to UC now, obviously I have to inform the DWP about my main bank account & savings but I have another account that I’ve never told them about. It doesn’t have huge money in - I think just over £3000 - but I’m wondering if they will know about this account which is in my name anyway? Do the DWP have access to all our accounts now? Thank you for your time John
You need to inform them of the existence of the account or else you risk an invitation to the local Jobcentre in the future for a Compliance interview.
