Change of circumstances on New Style ESA & UC was created by Serenity4
May have to report a change in circumstances to the DWP and are worried about what will happen next. A non-dependant family member on the state pension & ADP may soon be moving out of my home. I currently receive New Style ESA with UC having previously been on ESA in the Support Group so now in LCWRA with no housing or childcare elements who already lost the Severe Disability top-up last year after they moved into my home. I also separately receive ADP. There will still be another non-dependant family member staying with me who works but does not claim any benefits. I know I will have to inform the DWP, local council etc of the change in circumstances. Does anyone know if my benefits should be affected? According to Entitled To it shouldn't affect the funds I receive. Lastly and just as importantly does anyone know if this will trigger any kind of reassessment of my claim due to having a change in circumstances? I'm finding this very stressful and having trouble getting through to anyone at Citizens Advice to ask. Thank you for anyone's help.

Hi Serenity4
People moving in and out of your home will not affect LCWRA, LCWRA is paid due to your disability. In regards to affecting your UC award, we would advise you to seek advice from your local Welfare Rights Organisation: advicelocal.uk. where they will be able to take all your circumstances into consideration.
