Paper based assessment - no assessment report was created by forest track
I have just received my award letter after my PIP renewal. This was a paper-based assessment. I called to ask for a copy of my assessment report and was told there was no assessment report written because no health care professional assessed me this time.
Is there any other documentation I need to ask for that would explain why they have given me the points they have for the duration they have? They have kept all the points the same as previous award (enhanced for both), despite extensive evidence that would have warranted points in additional descriptors, and awarded for 3 years.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi forest track
They used to write a report even when a paper-based assessment was done, but since the pandemic, they have stopped. I know a couple of members put in a subject access request regarding any other notes that were made at the time. I think one person reported they had been successful in getting additional information. I also know a couple of people were told there was no further documentation.
You can always ask them to consider the length of your award.

Would that be by mandatory reconsideration (asking them to consider the length of the award)? Thank you

Hi forest track
Yes you can ask for a MR due to the length of the award but you risk have the whole award looked at.
As BIS mentioned in her post, you do not always get a report when paper based assessed, a subject access request may turn up additional information you were not aware of: www.gov.uk/guidance/request-your-persona...or-work-and-pensions
