Undergoing UC review and DWP won't accept format of evidence was created by Jennifer
I'm really hoping someone can advise me on how to resolve an issue I'm having with my UC review.
It's my first one and I've provided copies of my ID and all current and savings account statements for the last 4 months as they requested. It has been a headache since day one as they wouldn't accept my first 2 ID photos for aesthetic reasons and they are now telling me that a transaction statement I sent them for one of my savings accounts is "unacceptable".
The issue is that this particular savings account was changed by my bank from a traditional Building Society style savings account to a conventional bank savings account and the account number was changed as part of the process. The change happened in April and the DWP want statements from March to June. I can give them statements for the account from April onwards no problem from my online account but I cannot access any statements for the old account online and can only get them directly from the bank. I went into my Bank and asked for a statement for March from the old account, they advised me they can only provide transactional statements and gave me a print out for the whole year so far. (They also said the DWP can get difficult over transactional statements and boy are they right!)
I thought, brilliant, I now have a statement showing all the transactions for the account as requested and sent it to the DWP. As mentioned they replied saying it was unacceptable and the reason is, and I quote, "We have received a transaction statements which is not acceptable. Kindly upload the March statement same as the previous uploads, where we received statement for each month." That's it, no further information given, and I don't understand what they mean!
If the DWP want a singular March statement for the account, that isn't possible as there were no transactions in March and when I asked at the bank for just a March statement they said they couldn't do that and gave me a multi-month transactional statement. If the DWP want a traditional statement showing the statement number, again that isn't possible as the bank can only give me a transactional statement.
I have replied to the DWP's journal message saying it is physically impossible for me to supply the information in any other format as the transactional statement the bank gave me is the only statement the bank can give me; I don't know what else they can expect me to do?
The DWP have now literally got statements showing every transaction from all of my savings and current accounts for the entire period they asked for, it is not my fault if my bank cannot provide that information in a format the DWP find 'acceptable'! But I've now passed their two week deadline (thanks to constant back and forth over the acceptability of the documents I've sent them) and I'm getting really anxious as to what could happen to my benefits if they still refuse to accept the information in the only format I and my bank can provide it in.
Any advice on how to get the DWP and this UC Reviewer to stop being so obtuse would be really helpful as I am at a loss as to how to resolve this. Thank you in advance.

Hi Jennifer
Welcome to the forum.
You might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explains where everything is; www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/guides-for-claimants/faq/forum.
Your question is outside the remit of the forum, we would advise you to seek advice from your local Welfare Rights Organisation: advicelocal.uk where they will be able to take all your information into consideration when giving advice.
We have on the forum received a number of posts similar to yours, with the changes in rules I believe that DWP can request information from banks direct.
