PIP appeal was created by Christina
Hi there this is my first time on forum although I’ve been a member of this brilliant site for many years Can anyone tell me the timescale for reapplying for PIP after failure of a tribunal appeal? The recent tribunal for a relative I’m supporting was absolutely brutal .. held nearly 18months after original claim, and after health problems had worsened considerably but appears to have ignored much of this & appeal refused. Not sure when to try & reapply? Thank you

Hi Christina

Welcome to the forum.

Your relative doesn't have to leave any time - they can reapply immediately.

Just be aware that the Tribunal could not take into account your relative's worsening condition. They can only make a judgment about the original decision - not anything that happens afterwards.

Make sure that you have the statement of reasons from the tribunal to understand why your relative lost. Also I'm not saying you didn't do this last time, but have a good look at the guide to PIP claims and reviews to see where you can strengthen your argument when you try again.
