Hi all
I’ve been getting PIP since approx 2020/21 - low care, high mobility. I didn’t agree with the assessor’s assessment when it came to my care points but was too ill and scared to contest it.

For the past 18 months or so both my physical and mental health has declined and my CPN (assigned approx 18moths ago after a MH episode) is recommending home help for housework/meals/someone to visit on a regular basis to help with anxiety/social anxiety to see if it helps with my fear of mixing and talking with folks/talk therapy. I have very limited, near enough no contact with anyone else, agoraphobic also.

I am having regular home visits by my CPN, plus emails and regular telephone contact and have an out of hours emergency contact number if needed. She has emailed “proof” of diagnosis and I’ve also got a consultants/specialist email confirming new possible physical ailment(s) - done via Zoom as housebound/virtually bed bound and a Dr’s appointment had a 6-7 week wait.

I’ve decided to apply for a change of circumstances re PIP since both my physical and mental health has deteriorated whereby I can’t just “muddle along” to get by as I used to.

I’m not sure how to fill this Review Form in…Do I need to fill out the Review Form in as full and as much detail as I did in my original PIP claim ie for every single question or just go into great detail about the actual changes?

Many thanks for any advice. Sia.

Hi Sia7

I have seen people do both approaches - only filling out the change parts - or completing the entire form.

Personally, I would fill out the entire form again - particularly as the review form has changed since you last filled a review form and give as much detail as if it were the first time. You can still make clear the specific areas that have deteriorated since 2021.

Thanks for your reply.

Can I ask Bis is it frowned upon to type out additional information sheets rather than write as I find it easier to tap on a screen/keyboard than actually hold a pen and write? My writing tends to get illegible after a short while.

I have typed out notes from original application so it would just be a matter of checking and adding to it in places.

Thanks again.

Hi sia7

No it is not frowned upon, my hand writing is awful so I always type information out, typed information is also easier to read.
