Esa to uc migration was created by Lisa
Hi
I applied for UC under the migration from ( esa support group )on the 29th aug ( the deadline I was given) and my online account states my amount etc will be available to view on 1st oct and I would receive money on the 5th October.
On sat I received a letter dated 3rd sept titled ‘your claim for esa’ ‘ we will pay your allowance from 4th September’ and I received an esa payment yesterday which unexpected ( it was past the two weeks that I believed old benefits carry on for under migration to us and was less that my usual amount.
I have sent a message via my up online account asking for clarity but haven’t received a reply as yet.
Has anyone else had anything like this happen? Does anyone have any idea about what’s going on?
It’s not doing my anxiety any good at all!
Many thanks

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi lee
It could be for a number of reasons, we do not have all the information, We would advise you to seek help from your local Welfare Rights Specialist; you can find your local Welfare Rights Organisation to help you with advice by clicking on the link below and putting in your post code, it will then come up with a MAP with a list of agencies in your area advicelocal.uk
One of the questions I would ask you, were you in receipt of CB ESA? if you were then that could be the reason why you received the letter, but I am only guessing.
