ESA letter after moved to UC was created by Yesuf
I moved from IR ESA to UC through manged transfer. Few days after submitting my uc claim I have recived a letter from ESA that says they will pay me £244 .65 a week, the reason for the change 'because new income is coming ". The letter didn't say my ESA is going to stop. Shall I inform them or are they going to write another letter once the two week run on finishes?

Thanks

Hi Yesuf

Personally I would wait until you have received the first payment statement in your UC account. This is usually posted one calendar month after you submitted the new UC claim. You can then see what your income is going to be.

Let me know how you get on

As you said I will wait until my first statement comes. Sure I will let you know the outcome.

Hi Yesuf

Like a lot of Forum members you probably will be getting New Style ESA which comes in fortnightly payments and also UC which is paid at the end of a monthly Assessment Period.
