National Insurance contributions was created by Polly
I received ill-health retirement in 2020 and I am unable to carry out employment due to receiving my pension. I have only recently noticed that I have not been contributing to my National insurance. Am I entitled to credits? Can they be back dated? I get PIP but are there any other benefits I could claim? I am totally clueless in all of this. TIA

Hi Polly

I think a starting point would be to use a Benefits calculator to check what effect your pension income has on Benefits. You could try Entitledto.co.uk

Let me know how you get on.
