LCWRA payment changes April 2026

My question is, what is the start date of an LCWRA award? Is it the date of claim, or is it the first day of the assessment period where that work capability LCWRA decision is applied - after the three waiting months?

Because if it's the latter, people making a first claim to 'limited capability' need to get their skates on, to have a hope of keeping the full LCWRA element as pre-april 2026 claimants.
