Our records show that you are getting: was created by Ianeif2
Hi there,
I've just received a message telling me to check my UC account where I saw the above title"our records show that you are getting Employment and Support Allowance".
With a list of all the benefits that can affect my universal credit.
I do receive ESA but when I did the merge over to UC I was told that because I had worked until my 40's it would affect how I'm paid and that I would now receive so much universal credit and some work based credit ESA which confused me at the time, but I let the experts sort it out and trusted they knew what they were doing.
So now, this message I've received sounds like I'm going to lose universal credit because I receive part of my payment from ESA.
Has anyone else had this message?
Have you seen this message?
Is it a mistake?
Should I get in touch with Universal Credit and tell them it's because I haven't always claimed disibility benefits, so I receive so much of my benefit from ESA and so much from UC?
Because this is what I was advised when I did the merge over to UC by the people put in place to help us.
Kind regards

Hi Ianeif2
You can claim both NS ESA and UC.
NS ESA is deducted £ for £ from your UC allowance. ESA is paid fortnightly whereas UC is paid monthly.
The message you have received is a standard message, so nothing to worry about, you can always contact your local Welfare Rights Organisation to put your mind at ease.
