Yet another new PIP renewal form? was created by Chocolate Girl
We have just received a review/renewal form for PIP. This must be the third or fourth one I’ve completed for my husband. I cannot believe that yet again it has changed! Are they deliberately trying to word things in a way that makes it incredibly difficult to fill in? I’m just feeling a little bit overwhelmed and a little bit stressed by it, even though you would think I would be used to it by now. I just wanted to vent a little and ask if anybody else has made it to the other side of these new forms?

Hi Chocolate Girl

Vent away - I am sure there are other members that are equally frustrated with the change in forms.

I too feel out of my depth with the new format. I hadn't got my forms yet and am at the prepping stage by typing my answers for each of the activities. Why they have to change things is beyond me. It may have changed again by the time my form comes in a few months. I just want to be pre prepared.
Dig out your old review form copies and use that info to guide you.

I filled it out to the best of my ability and I added several extra typed sheets explaining in detail how my disabilities affect me.
I referenced each sheet to the descriptor/s I was referring to and are relevant to my personal circumstances.
I had a paper based assessment and they awarded me ten years 'ongoing' high rates care and mobility components.
In the past I have challenged awards made by mandatory reconsideration which I won and prior to my current award, I was only ever given 3 year awards.
