PIP completely stopped when my daughter went into care home on temporary basis

My daughter receives enhanced rates for care and mobility parts of PIP.
In January she fell and broke her leg. She spent 3 weeks in hospital. Then on 2nd February she moved into a care home o a temporary basis while she recovered, because she was unable to access the stairs in the family home.
She has received NO pip payments since early February. Is this correct?

Hi Tutlefan

Has someone spoken to the DWP? I'm assuming that they know she was in hospital and went into the care home, in which case after 28 days her payments were stopped (three weeks hospital and one week in the care home). The payments would not be restored until she arrived back home. As it has not happened automatically, someone needs to speak to the DWP. It's possible they just don't know that she's back home.

As the hospital stay and the care home were less than 4 weeks apart they are linked and counted as one stay so that's why her PIP was stopped. You need to tell PIP that she has now returned home.
