I am in the "work focused interview group" with u/c and receive monthly phone calls. The next call will be when I ( all being well) will be abroad for a week. Do I have to inform them in my journal of this or when I speak to my coach?-Or does that only apply if I were to be away for a month.
Also if I do have to tell them will they deduct a full weeks U/C from me ?

Will you be able or would you be happy to take the call while you were abroad ?
You will not lose UC if you go abroad for a week.

Yes David am perfectly happy to take the call when abroad, -but do I need mention that I am on a holiday to my coach, or can I just talk about my looking into finding work efforts as is usual?.

You are not obliged to report your location to a DWP Work Coach. With LCW you are also not obliged to look for jobs or make job applications. You should just be focusing on preparing to look for work when you no longer have LCW ( health has improved ). So this means doing something like writing a CV that could be used in the future or learning a new skill in your leisure time .
