Please below last year's press release:-
"The DWP is introducing Automated Claimant Reviews which requires Universal Credit claimants to review, confirm, and if necessary, update their circumstances, to ensure that entitlement remains accurate.
Claimants will receive a ‘Check and Confirm Your Details’ task in their UC account. This provides a summary of their declared information, which they must confirm or update. If details have changed, claimants will be guided to provide the correct information from the relevant date. Completing this task accurately is essential to avoid any disruption to payments.
If a claimant does not complete the task, their payments may be suspended and their claim closed. Notifications will be sent (by text, email and in the individual’s UC Account) when the task is created, with reminders at days 8 and 12, and a final warning on day 15 if payment is at risk of being stopped. Claimants have until their next payment date (around five weeks) to complete the process."

Hi there,
Today I got a UC 'check and confirm your details' to-do.
Nothing had changed until I got to the last question- 'money, savings and investments'.
Obviously, my bank balance was is not exactly the same today as when I first filled the form last year so I ticked 'no', and was sent to another page to provide details.
I realised I needed to actually check my current balance first, so ticked 'cancel', thinking I'd return to the original page.
I now have a notice in my journal saying: 'You have reported your changes' You have completed your 'check and confirm claims details' to-do and reported changes'. 'The following declare changes were cancelled: money, savings and investments'.
I am now panicking because a) I haven't managed to report my updated bank balance, and b) I'm afraid that my bungling the last question will trigger a full review/WCA or something.
Advice much appreciated,

Most filtering and decisions in a UC review these days are made by computers or more accurately AI systems. In one way it is better as everyone is treated the same and you are not picked on by one DWP employee who is having a bad day.
So one mistake won't trigger a full review and definitely won't be a signal for the DWP to ask HAAS to conduct a new WCA.
Let us know how you get on.
