DLA migration to PIP as a pensioner was created by Kazscott
I have been receiving the higher rate care and mobility components of DLA since around 1993 and have been waiting for many years for my 'invitation' to claim PIP. I am now 69 and a state pensioner and still receive monthly payments of DLA and have a car on the Motability scheme.

Does anyone know when pensioners in my position will be migrated to PIP? In the Benefits and Work news about migrations it seems to apply only to those between 18 and 64.

I have spent years worrying about this issue to the detriment of my health, and would be so grateful if someone could give me advice.

Many thanks.

Hi Kazcott

The government is migrating everyone who was between the ages of 16 and 64 in 2013. I assume you were 56 in 2013, in which case you fall into this category. They are carrying out a pilot at the moment, and then the rest of the programme will be rolled out. They have not announced a timescale for this.
