I'm 65 but not due to move from UC to state pension yet - but apparently my light touch PIP 10 year review is due in February and I'm sick with worry at the prospect of despite my complex medical picture/conditions which already resulted in enhanced on both counts either remaining the same or have got worse, being forced into a new full review and being taken off PIP and losing enhanced mobility in particular because they've changed me to Attendance allowance instead because of my UC/State pension status ... Im so ill worrying about this. I cant sleep or eat. Im 65, birthday in July '61 ... not entirely sure where/when my crossover to state pension will be, so not sure whether Im making myself sick unnecessarily because any review would happen before I would be forced onto AA ...?

I'm not sure why you think they will stop your PIP and force you to claim attendance allowance. If you have enhanced on both parts, it continues on when you reach state pension age - unless there has been a dramatic change and your health has improved. You should receive a light touch review form at some point - which only really has three questions in it, and that is it. We've had quite a few members who have been through the light touch review system and only a couple of people have found they had issues with their review. The majority have sailed through the process with no change. Now, can I make you a 100 per cent guarantee? No, I can't. But I do know at this stage that making yourself ill worrying about a 'what if' isn't helpful for you. There is nothing you can do about anything at this stage - but I reiterate - they will not be looking to make you claim AA instead of PIP. Please take care of yourself.
