writing a mandatory reconsideration letter 11 months after the decision

Hi, My son is about to send off a mandatory reconsideration letter 11 months after the decision. He has written as the reason:

The complete misrepresentation of my conditions, hostile assessor, and removal of my PIP led me to a downward spiral in my mental health that left me with strong suicidal thoughts. This is a repeat of my previous assessment that was wrongly rejected, with the decision overturned on appeal. Luckily, with treatment, I did not kill myself but was afraid that revisiting all this and the entailing stress would make me do so. It has taken this long just to get in a position where I am mentally able to cope with it again, and I have moved back in with family so that I am not alone. I am not sure I will survive a third one. Given that the assessors knew that the first assessment left me suicidal and that their decision was overturned, it feels like their intention in repeating their whole charade is to drive me and other disabled people to kill themselves.

My mum phoned the DWP and spoke to an Alice, who said that I had a year to dispute the decision.

My conditions are incurable and life long and cannot improve and instead my future is one of health deterioration.
