PIP reassessment was created by Matey2
My previous PIP reassessment took almost two whole years, eventually ending in a telephone tribunal, five years ago. My current award runs out in seven months.
I recently received a text to say my reassessment has begun. I have received an AR1 form of 32 pages. Ì have begun ploughing through it and will send information of my illnesses and when they began, although it seems from the form, which is different to the last form I completed, they don't actually want this information any longer.
I am finding it difficult to get an up to date letter from my Psychiatrist, will it be a red flag if I include the letter I used at my last reassessment, detailing of how my illness causes difficulties for me?

Hi Matey2
No it will not be a red flag if you use a psychiatrist's letter from a few years ago. This is because the majority of mental illness unfortunately last a lifetime though their severity does vary. So the fact that you are taking medication or undergoing therapy for your mental illness will be a confirmation that you are not in remission.
Did you know you can get supporting letters about your condition from friends, relatives and neighbours?
There are also useful guides from BenefitsandWork on PIP and health conditions.
