PIP Enquiry telephone Call was created by LeeJ
Today I called the PIP Enquiry line. I was asked a number of security questions, which I answered. But two questions tripped me up;

1) What's the bank account number your PIP benefit is paid into?

I have no idea, since the only time I've ever received a PIP payment was in 2016 when my appeal succeeded and they had to pay a backdated payment to me. I've changed bank accounts several times since then,and my Motability payments go directly to Motability. This question was skipped, but I had to awnser additional questions.

2) what is the name of your GP's surgery, their address, and post code?

I told them the name of my GP surgery, and their address, but I had no idea what their postcode was. I was told that the 60+ minute call would end if I could not provide my GP's postcode. So I said I'd do an internet search. I tapped away and provided my GP's postcode.

I was told I'd passed security?????

UTTERLY DAFT QUESTIONS. Why can't they send me a text message like everybody else does, including other DWP enquiry telephone calls.

Hi LeeJ

Thanks for sharing your story. In my experience they are happy for you to tell them the name of the bank for a previous payment and not to go into that sort of detail.
