Online v Paper DLA form was created by Cazie
I see they've still not changed the online version of the DLA form to look like the newish paper version. Is there a reason for this? Would I be better filling in the paper one?
Thanks
Catherine

I've just checked on the Direct Gov website and the online version and the one that you can print off look the same.

Is that the one you 'fill in' online though like the www.dwp.gov.uk/eservice? That's the one I've got the link and registration for that I used last time. It's sent direct online to the department.......
I'll go have a look at the direct gov one.......

Is that the submit online one though? The forms you can download and fill in are different to the online submission one which is still the 'old' style one.....I've just compared the 2 and they are very different.......

Hi,
I think people have had a lot of difficulty with the form which gets submitted online in that it sometimes seems to simply lose large chunks of your work and you have to start again.
The online form was a very good idea, but it's not had the investment or support it needed to make it work.
My own feeling is that it's probably better avoided, but others may disagree.
Good luck,
Steve

Hi Steve,
I agree. To be honest in all the years I worked as WRO I never used online forms.
Although I'm a great fan of IT, I prefer using paper forms, not the online versions.
Best wishes.
Jim
