Hearing Aids.

Please could you advise if your medical aasessment for your ability to hear is with the hearing aids, or without you wearing the aids.? I have to use two but can only wear them for a few hours at a time because they cause irritation to my ears. (this is for Incap ben) medical. Thank You and best wishes.

According to the 'Incapacity Benefit Handbook for Approved Doctors', which can be downloaded from the Members Section, on page 79 which deals with the Hearing part of the assessment it states the following.

"Hearing should be considered with the claimant wearing and using whatever aids they normally wear."
