IB50 FORM was created by pip
hello all
has anyone used the printouts from 'benefits and work' guides for answering the questions in the IB50 form? and was it successful? i am thinking of giving them a go; also i'm considering avoiding filling in those blank answer boxes by pen and simply typing my answers on my mac and attaching the printout answers to the form. has anyone tried this?
good wishes

I actually challenged the legality of atos having access to my information and sending me an IB50 form out in the first place without any notification from the data controller (the DWP) to myself, or without any specific request made by DWP to atos for them to do this.
As they are not the “data controllers” and as such can not hold such sensitive information or independently process it, I was quite willing to take it to appeal, however they relented and my money wasn’t stopped…

that would suggest to me that using the B+W printouts with my own pages/ printouts would be an acceptable way to answer and return the IB50
did you send a completed IB50 in the end?

No Pip, I didn’t send any form in at all as it would have opened the floodgate for medicals etc, that’s why I challenged it before the time limit expired and nipped it in the bud.. I expected my benefit to stop because of my refusal but surprisingly following the challenge, the DWP now say I don’t need to fill one in ……
Maybe someone else would be kind enough to help advise you on filling the forms in, as I didn’t get that far.. good luck

i was interested to read that you successfully refused to return the IB50, after being sent one from Atos, and presumably not the DWP. i can see the logic now. where you never sent a form from the DWP? i shall remember this when i get an IB50 soon. good advice adamant.

I didn't even get an IB50 - I was just sent a request to attend a medical direct from ATOS.
Are you saying that if things come straight from ATOS they can be challenged?!!!
How?
