Time from submission of IB50 to initial response?

I apologise if this has already been asked before. I have looked, but have not been able to find the answer.

What sort of time scale is there between submitting the completed IB50 to receiving a response? I realise this is undoubtedly very variable, but is one likely to be looking at days, weeks or months?

Sadly there is no definite answer to this as as you say above it is highly variable in different part of the country. Times scales can vary from a few days to several months. My only suggestion is that you telephone the office dealing with your claim and ask if they could give you a time frame.

I have been waiting 4 months! I have called them but they just say they are very busy and they will get to it as soon as they can!
