IB tribunal was created by sweetpea
Had appeal heard yesterday & to my amazement the panel found in my favour. There was a legal expert in disability on the panel & a dr. The dr was seriously scary, like Ann Robinson off the weakest link. I was v angry because I wrote Atos a letter complaining about the dr who examined me & the DWP gave it to the panel. I was asked several things about it & told them that I sent the letter to Atos & it was a complaint about the dr, therefore not all relevant. Example of dr's assessment "tramadol is for mild/moderate pain & has no side-effects" the appeal was the scariest experience of my life. Don't let that put you off appealing, the legal was v nice. The dr did warn me she would ask me lots of picky questions which she did. I don't feel angry at her, she was doing her job. She is probably lovely out of work. I don't know how long it will be before I get summoned again by the dwp. As I don't get paid any money, just get pension credits, I'm hoping they will leave me alone for a while. Good luck to all going thru this process. Stay strong, don't let the panel upset you & keep your evidence short & to the point.

I also got on my report that tramadol was a mild/moderate painkiller, how come then its not handed out like paracetamol, which is a mild/moderate painkiller, and I also have side effects, dizziness, lightheaded, nausia which she said would not cause any problems, maybe I should have stuffed some down her throat and asked her how she felt then and whether the side effects were not a problem when they occur on stairs or outside, maybe the odd one here or there wouldn't be so bad but when u take 8 a day and still have pain then in my opinion she didn't have a clue what she was talking about. Glad you got on well in the end.

Tramadol does have side effects, Pain Killers Either effect your GUT or CNS...of course such effects differ within the individual , as One who Has major Gut problems , any codiene based Drug causes MORE havoc then the pain of the distented gut, other pain Kilers can effect your CNS,and that for me too is a No no... [incurable brain Heammorage ],,
