medical results

Ihad my medical nearly 4 weeks ago and havent heard anything since. my 6 month doctors cert will run out next week dont know what to do as i sent them a med4 when i sent in the questionaire. Do i need to get another line from my doctor

If it is an ESA medical that you are referring to, yes, you need to get a new medical certificate from your doctor before the old one expires. Hopefully you will get a positive medical result and not be required to send in any more.

As far as I know, it is the same for IB. You need to send in medical certificates until a decision is made.

Can I just ask whats the longest you can get a sick note for? My Dr only gives me 3 months at a time. I just assumed that was the longest but Kathleen, you get them for 6 months?

Your doctor writes them for what he feels is right ..... you hear of some that will only do them for a few weeks at a time ..... they do seem to write them for longer these days so as not to use up slots and some just get you to telephone then pick it up without seeing them
