Pathways to work Interview was created by Mark12
Hi,
I am having my first ESA Pathway to work interview tomorrow (IT will be done over the telephone).
This is the arrangement made by my Local JC and personal advisor, after I had asked them for help with the travel costs to the interview office by Taxi as I am unable to use public transport due to my health condition. Also the interview office is located at least 8 miles away from where I live.
I am not sure if this is an accepted form of interview for the DWP. Has any one had a simillar situation?
or was it just one of those tricks!!!

PS All these arrangements where done over the phone So I have no letters to proof incase any thing. Also I asked the officer at the Job centre if this arrangement will have any adverse affect to my ESA claim? they assured me it was all OK.

your advice and comments will be appreciated.

Kind Regards,
Mark12

Hi Mark12,

It's not all that unusual to have Pathways interviews conducted by telephone and it will certainly not have an adverse affect on your claim.

You can view it as a cost saving exercise by the Pathways provider or as a sensible reasonable adjustment under the Disability Discrimination Act.

Either way it's nothing to worry about.

Good luck,

Steve
