Has anyone passed an ESA test on pain alone?

Hello again all, Just wondered how the new test would asses physical pain.? I usually get a 3 yearly IB review, which runs out this year. I usually fill out a form which makes it easier to explain the difficulties I have with my pain. But the new form seems not to deal with physical pain as such. I wondererd if anyone has passed a test with a daily pain issue?

i.e walking is made very uncomfortable due to a chronic pelvic pain pathway :S

Not per se I don't think, but during the ESA medical the ATOS person said:

"I think we should move on, I can see just how much pain you are in."

Perhaps only an observation, but the fingers typed quite a bit, well the one finger did (which slowed the whole thing up)

Did it therefore make a difference? I've no idea as I have yet to catch sight of the assessment report. I did pass though.

God bless

BTD

If pain or the medication to control it prevents you from managing the activities in the WCA, I see no reason reason why you can't pass the WCA, purely as a (consequential) result of pain.

Yes and within the philosophy of the IB and DLA there is provision for 'severe discomfort' etc in effect precluding one from being regarded as capable of continuing an activity. Or that it is not reasonable for you to be expected to do it. Pain is itself disabling if it inhibits of prevents physical or mental capability

I only had one WCA but i don't recall them actually spending too long on my actuall illness, diagnosis etc. They seemed only to be concerned with asking their set questions.

Thank you all for your responses to my question. I think I may be ok, when it comes to either filling a form or attending a medical, I do tend to panic. As I have said in my earlier post today I suffer from multiple problems and had, up to now no trouble in renewing my IB attaining suffient points.
