It's ok to go to college so long as what you are doing is compatible with the basis of your claim. For example, if you say that you are completely bedridden, then you get up and go dashing off to college and trekking around the campus all day, the DWP might spot the inconsistency. That's a bit of an exaggerated example, but you get the idea.
