hassled in hospital

I have been sent the forms to fill in to migrate from I.B. to E.S.A. I did these with much care and detail and also stated that I was having major surgery on the 22nd November but that the outcome of this would not affect the conditions that were preventing me from working.
Being mindful of getting it back I sent it before I went in hospital. on Tuesday 23rd the day after surgery and whilst in hospital on 3 drips morphine pump bed bound and with 2 drains I got a phone call from Atos saying that I need to attend a medical. I patiently explained that I was in hospital following surgery and that I had put this on the form. He was very rude and when I asked if he could phone me again next week when I would possibly be home he said that I would probably heave to prove my hospital stay by a letter from the consultant.
Rather than being able to recover I am now tied in knots at the thought of the medical. The attitude already does not bode well for the process.
Ah well here we go.

They are a complete bunch of ******* and nothing they do suprises me.

Do you have a welfare supporter that could contact them for you?

how did they contact you in hospital, did you give them mobile number ? I would change your number. and as for having to prove that your in hospital well thats no big shock is it, they think every ones telling fibs

All too typical Jax, they are very, very considerate and compassionate with clients and their experienced approach in dealing with disabled folkies truly reflects their decency !

Got letter in the post today saying medical set for 17th December. Told to get doctor to fax saying not medically fit to go.Could not guarantee this will mean a home visit I would accept home visit as I want to get it over.
I gave them my number on the form.
Wish I was on the beach in the sun. Of course we get so much money I could afford to be swanning away half the year in the tropics

I wish you very well. I am sadly not surprised by your treatment, i too have just had to put up with unacceptable behavoir from the people who answer the phones. It is annoying and i would love to extract an apology.
