Industrial Injuries benefit was created by Eric Coates
Hi. does anyone know what is happening to Industrial Injuries benefit as I was awarded it for life and I am worried that this is going to be withdrawn when the new Universal Credit starts.

hi. i've been on it since 1987. i've not seen any reports about it. yet!

Industrial Disablement Benefit will not be replaced with Universal Credits

Nor will related benefits such as Reduced Earnings Allowance, which changes to Retirement Allowance when the claimant reaches State Pension Age.

Doesn't clarify if it will be means tested for housing and gouncil tax benefit as now though.
