ESA / WRAG was created by NottsRed
My wife has been helping me with my application for ESA. Following my assessment I have been placed in the WRAG, I know I should have been placed in the Support Group, sadly the person who carried out the assessment was more interested in getting the computer to work. The person assessing me recorded my replies in two ways, firstly by typing my answers on the computer to trying to access the computer and 'ticking' the boxes. I don't think he even looked at me throughout the whole assesment. I have received a letter inviting me to an interview with my 'Personal Advisor' to take me further through the process. I feel I am in a slightly different position to what I have read of most people as I am still employed and have been placed in this 'nightmare' by default by going to half pay. When I spoke to my 'PA' I was told I had to attend the interview as everyone had to be treated equally and I needed to be given all the relevant information. I asked what will happen after the interview and was told I would be placed in a 'Holding Group' as there is no more referral's to Pathway to Work due to complaints made about the way in which claiments were being treated. Has anyone been in my position and can give me some advice

The WFIs are mandatory although they can be deferred, we have a guide in the Work section that explains what happens at one and your responsibilities.
That said, given your position it would seem likely that any further interviews will be deferred until your employment position is clearer.
