Completed ESA50 was created by bro58
Hi. My daughter has downloaded and filled in the new ESA50 questionnaire for me.
She has added a variety of extra information and evidence, and complied it all in a folder.
It is now ready to post, except for a few finishing touches if and when requested, it has about 50 pages.
My question is, I had planned to send all my additional evidence, straight to the DWP, as soon as I receive notification that I am to be reassessed from IB, and before receiving an ESA50 off ATOS.
However now all the evidence is compiled in this folder with the ESA questionnaire, would there be any negative aspects in sending the whole ESA50 file (COPY) to the DWP, on their initial contact with me.
Can I do this, and would they except it, or would I have to wait until the ESA questionnaire was requested by ATOS.
My intention is to give them all evidence at the earliest opportunity, as I feel I should be put straight into the support group.

Whilst your daughters efforts will undoubtedly be of value when you are transferred, you should not rush to send this evidence pack back, as it could be years before you are contacted.
First, you will need to verify that that the ESA50 that has been filled in matches the then current version.
Have the tests for the WCA changed in the interim. Professor Harrington is supposed to be reporting on the WCA this year.
Has your condition changed since the folder was created.
Is there more up to date evidence that should be included.
Hope this explains it.

Gordon, I totally understand what your saying.
Obviously the file would have to be updated at regular intervals.
However my question is taking the scenario that the DWP contact me telling me that I am about to be reassessed and transferred to ESA, in the near future, and the file is therefore up to date..
I would not contact them, until the contacted me.
I beleve the process works as :
DWP contact you regarding your transition.
They then ring you to see if you have any queries.
They then check the information they have on you, to see if you meet their different criteria for groups etc.
If not they inform ATOS to issue you with an ESA50.
Medical if needed.
Findings and recommendation sent back to DWP DM.
Descision issued.
Is my interpretation of this process correct.
If so I am talking about sending the file to the DWP on the first part of the process.

I don't see any advantage in sending the information early.
The transfer is a process, with specific checkpoints, given the volume of work involved, and the lack of staff to do it, I don't think the DWP are going to look at any information until the system flags them to do so.
So sending it early is unlikely to speed the process, and you run the risk that your information will be mis-filed, because they are not ready to receive it.

Gordon, I can see the disadvantages to providing it early.
I was working on the logic that if I could provide enough evidence early to the DWP DM,
There may not be a need for ATOS to get their evil claws into me.
I will have to way up the pros and cons very carefully and make my own descision.
However I take on board your comments, thanks. This is why I asked the question to get other viewpoints.

There is a very good chance on previous form that there will be changes to the ESA50 in the near future to sort out cock ups found on the first people to be tested under this new form. can just see them rushing something through the Houses of Parliment late on a Friday afternoon hoping no one notices
