Income support was created by Lyn
I don't know anything about Income support, I am currently claiming ESA, although that could take a while to sort out as I came off it to work for 6 weeks after being on it for a year, My question is, can I claim income support as well as ESA, as I said, I know nothing about all the different benefits.
Any advice can only be good

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

No, you can only claim ESA if you are sick as income-based ESA has replaced Income Support on the grounds of disability

Thanks' for quick response, it's just I read comments on here about people getting ESA or/and Income support, I hated the thought that I'd been stupid enough to miss out on any kind of entitlement lol

I'be moved your post to the Questions Forum.
We don't normally provide support for Income Support, so we are limited as to what we can tell you.
Income support is a means tested benefit, that is only available under certain circumstances. See the following link for details
www.direct.gov.uk/en/MoneyTaxAndBenefits...w_income/DG_10018708
Whilst the above site excludes you receiving IS whilst receiving ESA, if you are getting Income Related ESA, your payments will be supplemented to make them up to the same level as you would receive on IS.
For more details of what you are eligible for and how much you would receive, you will have to get face to face advice from a suitable advisor. Your local CAB or Welfare Rights office should be able to help.
