Thanks to all who helped me find a way to get hold of the report I had been waiting so long for; your help did it!

Just to let you all know, the report arrived a few days back but I have been unable to update you until now.

I had been sent for a medical near my home in the Midlands after applying for DLA. The DWP had already obtained reports from my GP and Physio but they still decided to send me for a medical. I was told that if I was unable to attend I could ask for a home visit but decided I would go along to the Medical Centre as requested (it was a very scruffy place indeed).

My medical was carried out by a foreign Doctor who was friendly and courteous to the extreme. The interview and medical took over an hour and at the end he said he thinks I need 'some help' but its not up to him if I get it or not, but he would recommend it.

As I have read so many horror stories I did not believe a thing he said and wanted to see exactly what he had written about me.

When the report arrived he was true to his word and in several places he had commented that I needed help and support. He also added that in his opinion any improvement was not very likely.

So, I know this was a DLA medical and not an ESA one but take heart all of you who have to face an ATOS doctor in future, they are not all bad and I was lucky enough to have found one of the genuine ones. I truly hope that you do too.

Good luck everyone and thanks again ;)
