Copy of DLA Medical Report

Hi all,

I have been waiting quite some weeks (they told me it would be 2 weeks but its now 6) for a copy of the ATOS Medical Sevices medical report that the DM used to help them come to a conclusion.

I have chased it and they just tell me it will be dealt with and they dont know why its taken so long.

Just wondered if anyone knows, can I go directly to ATOS and ask for a copy, will they provide me with one?

There may be problems if you ask Atos for a copy of the medical report, as I suspect they will just refer you back to the DWP to obtain it.

I definitely wouldn't let the DWP off the hook with their altogether dismissive reply. Write to the Customer Service Manager at the DLA Unit and ask him/her to intervene and expedite the despatch of the medical report immediately.

Many thanks for your reply and here is an update, and a question.

After a telephone chat today they tell me that my file has to be obtained (retrieved) before they can send me the report I am awaiting.

To enable me to take your advice CD, I take it you mean the Customer Service Manager at the DLA Unit I sent my application to, or is there a Head Office somewhere? I have looked on the .Gov site but cant seem to confirm any head office address for DLA?
