WRAG was created by mumsgirl
If placed into wrag I would need to do 'activies' - what exactly is an activity? do I have to look for a job (which I am not up to at the moment) and what happens if it don't find a job?

Hi mumsgirl
The 'activities' are at the discretion of the WFI advisor, but they cannot include work or looking for a job. They also have to take into consideration your health problems.
If you are asked to undertake an activity that you feel is not possible or will cause a deterioration in health you should make that clear to your advisor.
If you refuse to do a mandatory activity without just cause a decision maker can sanction the component part of your ESA but this is an appealable decision.
I've yet to hear from anyone who has had their ESA sanctioned for this reason so I suspect that ESA sanctions are quite rare.
Regards
Derek

Thanks Derek,
I just worry they wouldn't believe me if I said that I can't do something due to my illness. I'm glad to hear that you haven't heard of any sanctions! If sanctions were to happen could you do anything about it like get them to refer to your reports or get a letter from your doctor.

Once a sanction is in place all you can do is appeal the sanction, which would naturally involve arguing that you had just cause to refuse.
As I have no experience of appealing sanctions it's hard to know what level of evidence would be required but I think your doctor's support would be valuable.
