DL,

Good that you are complaining to ATOS, however don't delay your appeal, as you only have a month, use a GL24.

Keep the ATOS complaint as a seperate issue to your appeal against the decision.

Hi, If possible try and get your MP involved as well to let him/her see what a shambles ATOS and teh DWP are doing with the so called Medicals. Best Wishes

I am thinking of complaining to ATOS too. The report from my assessment doesn't reflect what happened. I couldn't remember the 3 words in the memory test (and when I asked the doctor she could remember either!) but my mum who came with me said them and the report says I recalled them ok. This is just one of a many of differing things. I have appealed but the job centre didn't read my version of the assessment and has sent me a letter stating exactly what the report says and I am now having to go to tribunal. Any advice this is worrying me sick.

You should complain to ATOS and to your MP as well.

I wrote to my MP who wrote to Brian Pepper National Customer Relations Manager at ATOS. The reply that came back was that despite I had indicated there was a problem in communicating there was nothing in the report to suggest this however there was some scope for exploration with my vision and fatigue and this would be relayed to the benefits agency dealing with my appeal. This actually highlights the problem I had with the assessment. The doctor I saw was Eastern European and there was several things that she has put in the report that yes I said the words but not in the order she reported thus they mean something different. I didn't say there were problems communicating and therefore there is no evidence in the report but what I said was 'there was a communication problem' on the part of the doctor!! Also there is nothing in the letter stating I now have to go to tribunal that suggests ATOS did get in contact with them with the extract details. I have again highlighted these points to my MP but just feel like i'm banging my head against the wall! I am also trying to get an appointment with CAB.
