ESA85 Medical Report was created by teresa
Hi, Just received my esa85 and on the back page it states.
Harmful information: Not to be Copied to the Client,
Unfortunately all data was lost half way through the assessment, and minimal data then re input as the lady was support grouped.
My question is: Some words on the report are missing which makes some of what's written misleading and incorrect.
How do I get this corrected ?
Also is it suppose to say how many points i scored etc... would that be on the medical examimation findings page?
Many Thanks
Teresa

Hi, Teresa
Entry to the Support Group is not points based. The criteria are listed (pages 23-27) of the B&W guide "Understanding Employment and Support Allowance" which you can download from the members area here: www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/help-for-claimants/esa
Hope this helps.
Andy.

If you HAVE been put in the Support Group, then I'm not sure what you hope to gain by correcting the report. Lots of these reports are very inaccurate, but they are just a stage in the process which leads to the Decision Maker saying whether you qualify for ESA and, if so, in which group. If you've got the right result... why not let sleeping dogs lie?My question is: Some words on the report are missing which makes some of what's written misleading and incorrect. How do I get this corrected ?

It's inaccurate because it claims that I am getting a support service that I don't have and I never claimed I had- and as it is about me I want it to be correct and that is my reason for asking about how this could be amended.
If something is written about me concerning my health, it should be accurate and they shouldn't have made a big mistake like this.

I think you would have to make a complaint to Atos. As far as I am aware it is not possible to correct inaccuracies in an ESA85 once the report has been electronically signed (at least not at the claimant's request) but you may be able to get an acknowledgement from Atos that it's not correct.
An ESA85 does not state how many points you scored but quotes the descriptors that you satisfied, so you can work out how many points you scored by looking at the guides to check how many points each descriptor is worth.
I have never had sight of an ESA85 other than my own, but as you need to pass both tests (LCWA and LCWRA) to qualify for the support group I would imagine that an ESA85 that places a claimant into the support group would award descriptors for the LCWA. If this is the case you can calculate the number of points you scored from the descriptors awarded.
The medical examination findings page just contains information of clinical findings, such as results of physical examination, and the mental state observations regarding what you looked like, how you were dressed, skin tone, behaviour, etc.
Hope this helps
