So basically it won't make much difference either way then?
Also I know this sounds like a daft question, but is the reference number that appears on all my DWP correspondence (starting with the letters WP) my national insurance number? I've yet to add that to my form you see.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

There is no actual requirement to send a copy of the ESA50 to the DWP as it should be included in the evidence before the decision maker, but it will do no harm should you wish to send it to the DWP.
The reference number for ESA purposes is your national insurance number which will appear in the format AB 12 34 56C, for example.

Your national insurance number is in the form AB123456C and should be quoted on all correspondence with the DWP.

Oh dear, which form is AB123456C?
I just have letters from the DWP talking about the transition and warning me that the process was to happen. Are those the ones? I have to get this out by tomorrow morning first thing and so I'm panicking somewhat now.

I think "in the form AB123456C" meant "in the pattern..." or "in the format..."
