It's not possible to score points for information from your doctor. You score points for the WCA activities as listed in the ESA65/85 and information from your doctor should be taken into consideration as well as the ESA85, before deciding on the points for each activity.
Does your ESA65 have the box ticked to say that they considered evidence from your GP?

No the box is not ticked, I would have thought they would have contacted my doctor.

They usually do for an initial claim but it seems entirely at the discretion of Atos or DWP whether an IB113 is sent to the GP.
