Firstly clio,
If you feel that you should have been put in the Support Group, rather than WRAG, have you thought of appealing.
Any appeal must be done within a month of receipt of the adverse decision.
Failing that, do you have a CPN, carer, friend or relative that can attend with you?, as this is allowed.
Your G.P. or CPN can assist you in a request to suspend the WFI, but there is no guarantee they will agree.
You can also request that WFI is done over the phone.
If none of the above, and you fail to attend, they can impose sanctions.
One positive, if you could actually manage to attend, is that they may get to see how badly your condition affects you, and defer further WFI's.
Hope this helps.

Clio,
Was the first letter of 4/8/11, the initial letter, ie, "the benefit you are receiving is changing".
OR
Have you had a face to face assessment, and that letter is as a result of that.
If the phone call is the only confirmation that you have been put in WRAG, then you have a month from when you receive actual written notification.
cheers

If you wish to appeal, then you have one month from the date on the letter informing you of the Decision.hi

The 4.8.1 is your Effective Transfer Date.
Appealing a Decision to place you in the WRAG, carries the risk that your existing allowance can be withdrawn, it doesn't happen often, but you need to be aware that it can happen.
If you decide to go ahead, try and get assistance from your local CAB or Welfare Rights office.
