Has DWP changed payment frequency? IB/DLA

I think the DWP may be chaging their payment methods as:

Wife was paid her usual fortnightly IB/IS today, but it included 2 weeks HRM/LRC DLA in one sum.

It was also paid into the account specified for IB/IS, her DLA used to go into a different account, but since it was renewed 05/08/2011, appears to all being paid together, so don't know if this is some mistake or a new idea the DWP has come up with.

Anybody else had this happen on DLA renewal

I think I may have to ring them in the morning to see what exactly is going on.

Don't worry Alf, i am sure you will be told there has been a "clerical error".

This has only happened to me once in two years. I was given a double payment next time.

Unless another member has experienced similar changes it's really something that you need to ask the DWP.

If they change your payment date or frequency they should have written to you explaining the change. If a payment went into an account specified for another benefit it may possibly have been a mistake. Personally I wouldn't trust the DWP to hold two bank account numbers without getting them confused!

Spoke to DLA dept this morning.

They confirmed that the 1st - 4 week payment of the new HRM/LRC award of the 05/08/2011 is due to be paid Tues 6th Sept 2011.
Said they haven't made any other payments and have no idea why we were paid 2 weeks DLA with the IB/IS.

So still none the wiser.
