well, the reconsideration did not work - still only on Low Care and Low Mobility.

What do I have to do to get it through to these people?

Have re-read the GP's report and the DWP only asked about 3 out of 5 of my conditions - not a good start.

My GP has stated that I have constant difficulties and cannot walk more than 20m without experiencing pain and discomfort. I have further consultations for CFS and Fibromyalgia - is it going to be a case of trying to get the specialist to back things up for me and say that from my examination it is clear that I have been suffering with these conditions since I made my DLA claim?

My GP confirms that I have a carer and confirms that I suffer from general weakness and malaise, also confirms that I need assistance to make a main meal.

I have not appealed mobility as I can walk, albeit a short way before the bad pain kicks in, and feel ashamed about asking for higher mobility to be considered.

I am also going to ask my CPN if they can help as my mental state is not good and I am scoring too high on the GAD 7 tables.

Anyone got any other advice on what I could do as I am loosing my carer this week as Carers allowance is not being paid.

thanks, Lisa

did you appeal or just ask them to reconsider their decision? I do have severe mobility problems, can barely blooming move  [FMS, Raynauds, Myofaciel pain... excuse spelling see first listed] I had been on low care and high moblity for over 6 years and DWP dm decided I was cured  I asked them to look again, asked the supervisor to look again then went to appeal and got high mobility back indefinate [yeah I know... till PIP] which is why I ask if you went to appeal yet or not.

yes I am going to full Appeal, they did do a reconsideration but did not change their minds.

I am disgusted by the way people are being treated, if you are genuinely ill you get grief.

I feel myself on the downward spiral again and along with my appeal for ESA Support this is yet another load of grief to contend with.

I know... it just makes our health worse. Its all good in principal.. those who can work do, those who need support to work get that support and the poor b s who can't work get help and support... not working that way though is it? add profit into anything and people don't matter anymore.

Hi
Just thought I would let you know my rescent outcome. I too have fibromyalgia after having spinal surgery 6 years ago.
To cut a very long story short , I had my tribunal last week and they were really kind and friendly. I got back my lower mobility and lower care component back after having nothing for a year. Brilliant I thought, gave the DLA another call today to see if they could tell me when I would start getting my money again, only to be told I wouldn't as the DLA are appealing against the tribunals decision!!!
When asked what do I do now , I was told do nothing just wait for the decision of the appeal !! I am devistated and totally worn out by it all. What does an ill person have to do these days to get help !!!
