I hope you have misquoted the date because the 7/8/11 was two weeks ago.
You will find advice about medical assessments including the kind of questions you may be asked in the guides in the members' area.
Good luck

Derek, would that be the:
Incapacity Benefits Claims and Medicals
PDF?
I can't see anything specifically about ESA medicals.

Hi,
I think Derek may have been generally pointing you to the members area for information about all benefits as in your initial post you didn't say which benefit your medical was in connection with.
Assuming from your second post above that it is ESA, then go to this link:
www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/help-for-claimants/esa
and click on the link entitled:
Employment & Support Allowance claims on
Physical Health Grounds A guide to the Work Capability Assessment
or if your problem relates to mental health or learning difficulties, click on the link entitled:
Employment & Support Allowance claims for
Mental Health & Learning Difficulties
A guide to the limited capability for work assessment

I had my ESA medical two weeks ago (still waiting for result!). I was asked how my conditions affected me and a lot of time was spent describing a typical day and answering questions about it. I was in there for 55 minutes and wasn't given a physical examination as the Doctor, seeing my feet, said it would cause too much pain... The actual medical wasn't too bad but the whole process of getting that far is horrendous! Just stay calm, tell the truth and treat it as the next step closer to the end of the process
