PIP

Can anyone advise what the process is for people currently in receipt of DLA who will reach retirement age before the introduction of PIP? My husband has DLA until April 2013 and will reach retirement age in Feb 2013.

At the present time the final draft regulations for the Personal Independence Payment (PIP) have not been confirmed, so it is impossible to speculate as to what may happen following its induction in April 2013, particularly with claimants over the state pension retirement age?

As it stands, because your husband will reach the SP retirement age in February 2013, he will be required to claim Attendance Allowance in April 2013.
