Clarification of WFI frequency was created by qashqai
Hi all:)

I recently posted a thread regarding the ESA Adviser telling me that there is no limit as to how many and how often you attend WFI's.
I have spent a lot of time investigating the matter, and believe this information is true and may clear up any confusion.

The original amount of interviews you needed to attend was 6, but, when the Pathways course ended on 7 February 2011, the amount was changed to continuing and unlimited interviews,(very similar to JSA), with the frequency at the discretion of the WFI Adviser.
The actual official changeover date was 1 April 2011, but DWP web pages have not been updated to this effect.
This information came from someone quite high up in the DWP chain, so, be prepared for ongoing interviews. :ohmy:

Hope this information helps.

Steve

Hi, if you can, it's worth having a look at this;

www.dwp.gov.uk/docs/the-work-programme.pdf

and click link; minimum service offers on page 12.

it seems that there is no consistancy to the wfi. I had to attend three sessions with the pathways advisor and then the contract for pathways ended, at my last meeting he said that I had complied with the requirement and no longer needed to attend :unsure: I have not heard anything since so assume that the info was correct. Although my claim is up in October and as it is C based I am hoping that I can renew which means if I end up in th wrag I will have to attend wfi's again??
oh how I wish the brown envelopes would disapear and leave me in peace :side:
