Just wanted to let everyone know that I've had my assessment. The thing is he was very very nice and the interview went really quickly! Is this good or bad??? My support worker said it's the fastest one she's been to, it was about 10mins. The HCP said he didn't understand why I had been called in (does that mean he knows i'm unwell or knows i'm well?) because I explained myself very well in the form (thanks to B&W) and my Gp gave a good detailed report (which surprised me because she refused to write a report for me and I feel our relationship is not the best). He asked me who I lived with, if I took my daughter to school and if I look after myself. The last question is the one that's troubling me because I answered "yes, but not very often" - I just felt as though I would be lying if I said no because if I didn't look after myself I wouldn't be here. I hope I haven't buggered it up! Thanks for all your help guys and I will let you know the result whenever I get it.
Hi MG,
I'm pleased to hear that your face to face wasn't too much of an ordeal.
As you will understand I can't really comment of any possible outcome of your face to face.
Hopefully, you will receive the correct award of ESA, fingers crossed for you.
Let us know when you receive the decision.
cheers

The last question about looking after yourself is about as ambiguous as HCP questions get, and could mean absolutely anything.
Glad it went OK; good luck with the outcome.

It's when you are asked if you can set an alarm clock and you say: "sure, no problem, that's why I was here on time"; that's when you lose points.
