Am I getting DLA paranoia ?

Would I be paranoid in deducing the chances of my DLA claim failing if the DWP have requested a report from my GP. Especially when I have supplied some (bangin') evidence as one of my kids would say

I've noted an increase in DLA awards being made without the DWP writing to the claimants GP. I assume this is due to strong medical evidence being supplied with the initial DLA application.

Hi Doris
Without commenting specifically on the above, you can request a copy of your GP's response to the DWP enquiry from the doctors surgery to see what she/he has said. Let's hope your "banging" evidence is sufficient!

It was my GP who supplied the bangin' evidence that accompanied my DLA application

Ok Doris
As mods we have to read between the lines to deduce posts, more correctly you should have put "My GP supplied bangin' evidence and not I supplied".....

My GP supplied the report to me, so I could include it in my DLA application.
Getting back to the point of the question. My concerns are based on the increase of awards made without the GP being contacted. I hopefully fullfilled the same critera has these claimants, but am still going to be subject to the DWP requestiong a report. Hence my paranoia

I can understand your concern. If you could post the details or link giving evidence of awards made without GP being contacted it would be helpful to other members.
I'm assuming what you are pointing out is that such awards are either turned down or are for lower amounts?
It is a very worrying time for all of us who rely on benefits on which to live, pay for our help, or the extras associated with disabilities.
I hope you get some good news soon.
Kind regards
Michael
