An appeal will cost you nothing, and if in the end you feel you cannot face a hearing, or even present a good case, then you can withdraw it without fault.
If you don't put one in and find that you cannot cope with the WFIs then your options are limited.
Ultimately the decision is yours, and no one will criticise you whichever choice you make.

I have to say though It did make me laugh when I first spoke to my WRAG advisor over the phone as the information she had been given about me and my condition was sooo misleading.
When I explained what was really wrong with me she started to want to back out of the call and said I won't need to speak to you again until next year.
She said that she normally used to deal with people with conditions such a depression (like thats an easy disease to have) and that she could help people like that into work, but people with the kind of problems I have was another matter entirely.

Well todays the day so to speak. I know I'm a pain for keep asking but, does having an up to date letter from a chronic pain clinic and an extensive letter from my GP help in appealing? Yes I know you can't comment on individual cases, but I was wondering If having any kind of recent written proof helps maters. Trouble is I only have the two letters and my original diagnoses letter from my consultant uro, but that was written over 5 years old now and I don't think the DWP have any idea that what I suffer from is incurable.
I was looking over relevant cases on Rightsnet and saw they were saying you really do have to have a very strong case to appeal such a thing, and at the back of my mind I'm not sure If I really have in the DWP's eyes which is why I'm worrying about them revising my award and ending up with nothing at all.
Yes, as you've already guessed by now I'm a terrible worrier and to be frank I was rather surprised to have got this far without a medical. I was convinced that I would get rejected although as we've all since found out It looks like the DWP are moving the goal-posts around again If you get my drift. Thats why I'm wondering If I should just be satisfied with what I've got and hope I can get though what they ask of me, despite my WRAG advisor not being so keen on the idea.
Pity there isn't enough info out there about how others are getting on appealing the WRAG group as I'm sure It would make interesting reading.

Hi,
Just to reassure you, any recent medical evidence which is written in your favour can help a Decision Maker or Tribunal Panel to make a (hopefully positive) decision on your claim.
Some claims can be determined without sending in medical evidence, but having recent medical evidence can only really be treated as a bonus in your favour.
Obviously we cannot predict the results, but you seem to have done just about as much as you can. The problem with reading forums such as Rightsnet, or even this forum, is that the advisers/claimants using these forums are generally asking about a relatively few difficult or awry claims, when the reality is many claims go through without incident or problem but one hardly ever hears about these claims in general.
All we can do is really advise you to sit tight now and let your claim take it's course. I know it can be really difficult but worrying about it will not help improve your chances. Thus, if you can, do try to keep your mind occupied with other things and try to ignore the claim until your hear something.
Regards
Pete

I'm not sure If I understand you correctly. I haven't heard anything yet as so far I haven't appealed and even now not sure If I want to upset the apple-cart so to speak by doing so. As I've left It all so late I haven't had a chance to go see a CAB rep to see If I have strong enough grounds to appeal, and feel If I dive in and do It on my own I may end up having either my review date shortened (It's a year hence) or loose my benefit altogether.
Thats what I fear the most as It would leave me in dire straights sadly.
And sadly as I'm trapped in the house all day things have atendecy to get blown out of proportion as many people will appreciate.

Sorry, I am a bit dozy this morning.
I meant to let the appeal take its course.
Back to bed I go!!
